The mysterious disappearance of an American student National and international attention has attracted in the Dominican Republic.
Sudiksha Konanki, a 20-year-old Student from the University of Pittsburgh From Loudon County, Virginia, was last seen on a beach outside the five -star RIU Republica Resort in the early morning hours of 6 March. She still has to be established.

March 5
Konanki was in the Dominican Republic and stayed in the five-star RIU Republica Resort with a group of six female PITT students, the office of Loudoun County Sheriff told Fox News Digital.

Konanki was seen on the beach that night before her disappearance with six people, three Dominican officers told ABC News.
Most people in the group returned to the hotel that night, but one person was left with Konanki on the beach in the early morning hours of 6 March, ABC News reported, referring to a research policth report.

March 6
Konanki was last seen after a 4 -hour walk on the beach outside the Riu Republica Resort, according to a flyer that is spread online.
La Policia Nacional, the National Police of the Land, said that a male friend who was at Konanki was around the time of her disappearance is being investigated.
It is unclear who the “young man” is, but the police said he was in the water on the same beach, and they ask him to confirm his version of events in an attempt, according to a translation of a Spanish statement.
Outlet news without Reported that a man, who was also a guest in the same resort, was the last person who was seen with Konanki and reportedly told the police different versions of what happened.
Allegedly the man said he entered the water with Konanki, but the rough surf made him sick, so he went back to the coast and left Konanki in the water.
In another version of the story, he said he felt sick and left Konanki in knee-deep water before fainting on the beach. The man also claimed that he saw Konanki walking on the beach before he fell asleep on the beach, according to reporting from Noticias Sin.

March 8
The Embassy of India in the Dominican Republic said that it cooperates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Law Enforcement on the spot, according to one Spokesperson for Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

“The office of our sheriff supports those efforts and continues to research Local, “the spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Saturday morning.
Dominican civil defense, to Dominican Republic search and rescue power, completed a search of a full day with operations that will resume on Sundays.

“The Orange Search and Rescue unit, together with other institutions, worked from early Saturday hours and tried to find the residence of the young woman, Sudiksha Konanki, without success,” the agency said in a post on social media.
RIU Hotels said in a statement that one of his guests has not been seen since the early hours of 6 March.

“From the moment her absence was reported, we worked closely with the local authorities, including the police and the navy, to look thoroughly,” said Riu Hotels in a statement. “We would like to express our deepest sympathy for the family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. The safety and well -being of our guests are our highest priority, and we are fully committed to doing everything in our power to help in this situation.”

The hotel added that the team “offers full support to the authorities in the search, and an emergency protocol is activated to ensure that all necessary measures are taken”.
March 9
Defensa Civil Dominicana resumed his search for Konanki at 6 am on Sunday.

March 10
Virginia attorney-general Jason Miyares told on Monday morning to “Fox & Friends” that his office “was still in the phase of collecting information”.
“Her friends are all responsible, that’s the good news,” he said. “It is clear that our heart breaks for the family. We want to find her, we hopefully want to find her safe and healthy. At the moment there is just so much that we don’t know.”

When asked for a Monday report that Konanki may have drowned, a spokesperson for the Loudoun County Sheriff spokesperson told Fox News Digital Authorities “this heard this and have not seen any evidence at the moment.”
“From last night, researchers still actively interviewed people who may have seen or visited her last Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, as well as the assessment of security video and telephone records to help determine what happened and why,” said spokesperson Thomas Julia.
