Manchester United Captain Bruno Fernandes believes that director Ruben Amorim can reproduce his previous athletic success in Old Trafford.
Amorim, who led sports in two championship titles in his four -legged term, made the transition to United in November.
However, his time in the club has been caused so far, with the team securing only 11 wins in 26 matches.
Reflecting Amorim’s tenure in his old club, Fernandes said: “I knew the sport was playing, I knew the fans were excited and the players were very happy with him (Amorim) there.
“I think we all saw in the last game he had there (in Sporting) how much unity was with players and staff during this period.
“I and my teammates and technical staff, including the manager, want to recreate it. To recreate this, we obviously need trophies.”
After completing the Eighth in the Premier League last season, United had a difficult start in the current campaign and currently sat in 14th after a 1-1 draw with Arsenal.

Their attention is now turning to the Europa League, where they face real sociedad in the second part of the last 16s, having pulled the first leg 1-1.
Despite the team’s matches, co -owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe also expressed his full confidence in Amorim, stating that the 40 -year -old would be in the club “for a long time”.
Fernandes, United’s top scorer this season with seven goals, shoulders a major responsibility as a captain. It also recognizes the impact that Amorim has on native Portugal.
After Sunday’s game against Arsenal, Amorim praised the performance of the medium, stating that United ‘You need more brunos, “after Fernandes won a first six -month free kick and came close to scoring one last winner.
Despite their common Portuguese roots, Fernandes clarified that his relationship with Amorim is professional and not personal.
