Legislators in the Texas legislative power Consider a bill that would prohibit people in the state to change the gender marker at their birth certificate to display their gender identity.
The measure, Senate Bill 406, is now being discussed in the Senate of Texas.
Last year the Texas Department of Public Safety stopped changing gender on driving licenses, unless the courts intervened, according to Fox 4.
The Senate bill would block changes in the genus on birth certificates, regardless of whether there is a judicial order.

“This bill is not about limiting a person’s personal expression. It is about ensuring that legal documents reflect accurate statistics,” said Gop Sen. Mayes Middleton, who sponsored the bill, said on Monday in a hearing of the State Committee. “At the moment is the only way to change sex at the judicial order, and this bill prevents that.”
Megan Benton from the Texas group, values, said that this is “a matter of public safety and public report”.
“If a man legally can change his birth certificate to say that he is a woman, then it is possible to get a driver’s license, passport and social security card that also says he is feminine,” she said.
Various transgender Texans also testified before the committee and said they believe they are unfairly aimed.

“I am not a monster. This is not a fetish for me and I have not decided to become a woman,” said Amanda McLaughlin.
Megan Fairbanks asked: “What damage did I cause society?”
“I don’t play sports. All I want to do in the bathroom is to use the bathroom and touch my makeup and wash my hands,” said Fairbanks.
The transgender educational network of the policy coordinator of Texas, Landon Richie, argued that the bill would lead to isolation and encourage others to discriminate or set goals on the back of transgender people he said it is already vulnerable.

The bill is expected to go by the Senate and be sent to the house.
This comes afterwards Constitutors Taking legislation adopted that forbid biological men to compete in girls’ school sports.
At the federal level, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that recognized male and feminine as the only sexes.
