In addition, Deep opened for his journey into the world of comments, his experiences in cricket and his career in this profession.

Here is the complete interview, where he shares many interesting jokes related to his cricket and career.

1) Question: How did it all start? Initially, you were a trainer, so how did you develop an interest in cricket?

Deep: I always thought about cricket because we belong to the generation of ’83. From childhood, I decided to play cricket. I have developed a bond with the game watching Sunil GavaskarKapil dev And all the 1983 World Cup players. Everyone at home was also a cricket fan, as is the case with most Indian households. So cricket has always been in my mind.

At that time, cricket was not as organized as it is today that children begin to go to academies at the age of four or five. There was no such system at that time. In Delhi there was a national stage where Cricket’s activities have stopped now, but earlier, academies for all sports were operating under NIS. I was very young then, maybe seven or eight years old, and there was no permission to play cricket before the age of 11 or 12 years. There was no official age limit.

So I started with gymnastics. The reason for this was my older brother-he was a national level athlete. He had to go for education, so I started to accompany him. Since I am not allowed to play cricket at that age, but the gym was open to seven or eight years old, I got it. So began my journey with gymnastics before gradually shifting to cricket.

As for my most memorable moments in cricket, the game was a different experience completely. But the comment is also an incredible job, in my opinion. However, playing the game is still unique – nothing compares to this experience.

2) Question: What was the most memorable moment of your career in cricket? Was your debut, which every childhood dreams of childhood? You also played a brilliant Innings in your second test match. Tell us about this experience.

Deep: Yes, a lot was happening outside the dressing room. The referee of the match had banned and imposed a fine on some players, so the atmosphere was quite tense. But the senior players assured us, saying: “The test match is not over yet. Don’t pay attention to what is happening outside. We will handle everything. You are just focusing on your game.”

In my first test race, I came to the bat at number seven. But before the second test, Suravg Gangu he told me, “You must open.” I replied immediately, “I have no problem. I’ll play anywhere. I just want to play, whether it’s in number one or eleven. ” Said, “Okay. Then you will open.” And so I opened in the second test.

In this match, we had to play all the last day. I went to the bat during the last session of the fourth day and had to play through the fifth day. It was a very special experience for me. Rahul Dravid It was hit with me, and playing next to him was a great opportunity to learn on its own. The way in which it led me, I realized how great players think and play. That participation with him were one of the most memorable moments of my career.

3) Question: You are now a cricket commentator. How much do you like comment?

Deep: I think there’s no better job than that. You can watch the race, talk about it, travel, and this is your job. What could be better? You wake up in the morning, go to the ground, watch the match and discuss it – it’s really a great experience. Being a commentator is great and when people enjoy your analysis and listen to you, they feel even more rewarding. It’s a job full of passion and I like it.

4) Question: Who is your favorite commentator?

Deep: Comments, such as Cricket, are a team effort. Just like any player in a cricket team has a different role-some open, some are middle-class strokes, some are spinning and some are fast bowlers-the same applies to a group of comments. Everyone brings their unique advantages. Some have a strong language command, some provide profound knowledge in the game and they all have a different way of analyzing it.

For example, if one were a stroke, his prospect will be different from someone who was a bowler. Some commentators are great narrators, some see the game from the perspective coach, and others focus on in -depth analysis.

From my experience, all the commentators I have worked with are great in their own ways. So it wouldn’t be fair to mention just one loved one. I have been to this profession for ten years and I had the privilege of working with many legends. There is no official school or commentary academy, so every day is a learning experience. Especially when I work with senior commentators, I have learned a lot of them. I find myself very lucky to have the opportunity to work with such big names, all of them were incredibly supportive.

5) Question: People say that the careers of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are approaching the end. What do you think – is in their final phase?

Deep: In my opinion, Rohit and Virat are still very present in ODI Cricket. The real question is about their future in the test cricket. As I have said before, both are so great players that their careers should never be disputed, nor should there be speculations. No player can score 32 centuries ODI or 81 international centuries just like that – these two are legends.

Now, the biggest question is not how many more years they can play, but if they still have the same hunger and passion they had ten years ago. Both have achieved many – individually for the team. They have won the World Cup, they have set many records. The real question is whether they still have the same movement as before. If they do, they will continue to play and perform well. But neither you nor me can answer it – only Rohit and Virat can.

The key question is: Are they still willing to make the same sacrifices? Are they ready to wake up early every morning for training and practice hours? Will they continue to prioritize Cricket for special family circumstances? If their hunger remains the same, they will continue to play at the highest level. But if this hunger is reduced, it will be difficult for them to continue.

In addition, with age, fitness and reflexes are naturally reduced. This means that they should work even harder on their bodies. The question is whether they are still willing to show the same level of dedication. If they are, they will continue to play. But if not, challenges will arise.
