The Philadelphia Eagles are on the way to the White House at the invitation of President Donald Trump To celebrate their Super Bowl Lix victory on the Chiefs of Kansas City last month.
“We sent the invitation and they have been enthusiastically accepted. We work with them to determine a date and logistics,” a White House official told FOX News Digital.
A spokesperson for the team also confirmed to Fox News Digital that “the Philadelphia Eagles Organization has accepted an invitation to visit the White House and is currently working on planning a date and logistics. “

There were questions about whether the Eagles would accept an invitation after they had not done this in 2018, but Trump told the viewer at the end of last month that the team would visit this time.
“They come here. Philadelphia comes here,” Trump told the outlet.
Trump also announced the invitation to the team last month.

“They will be (invited). We are not yet, but we will be,” said Trump, who was super dome in the Caesars to see how the Eagles defeat the Chiefs, 40-22. “I thought it was a great achievement by them. Absolutely, they will be expanded an invitation. We will do it immediately. We will do it again today. They deserve to be here, and we hope to see them.”
Eagles Captain Lane Johnson said that a visit from the White House would be a “team decision” after they won the Super Bowl.
“I would be honored to go, regardless of who the president is, but we will see,” said Johnson via Eric Jackson of Sportico. “It is ultimately a team decision. I will do what is best for the team.”

Johnson, who has published all 12 of him NFL seasons With the franchise he was in the team when it won the very first Vince Lombardi trophy of the organization in 2018 and defeated the New England Patriots.
