Edgar Berlanga has only himself blaming himself to get stuck in an undercard against Jonathan Gonzalez-Torziz this Saturday March 15th at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Florida.
The “Return” clause
Matchroom supporter Eddie Hearn says Berlanga (22-1, 17 kos) wanted a “return match” ‘It was not a heading’ If he lost Canelo Alvarez last September, which he lost in a one -sided competition.
It would make things much easier for Hearn and Dazn if Berlanga was willing to get a hard opponent in his next match. If he had told Hearn that he wanted the best candidate he could find, take Caleb It would be perfect for Dazn. Other options that would probably have worked well for Berlanga to head:
– osleys iglesias
– David Morrell
– Christian Milli
– Diego pacheco
The problem with these types is that Berlanga will probably lose to all of them very bad, but at least he would not have a bad thing to be in the main event as now. Headliners should be 50-50 type matchups. Taking a gimme level opponent is not a headliner material. It is poison for networks.
It is reportedly unhappy at the point of the title, but this could have been taken care of if Berlanga was willing to be one of the above killers.
Plant-Berlanga will attract subscribers and would be ideal for the continuous flow network. But for Edgar to want a non -chapter fighter, what did Dazn and Hearn do?
‘When he fought Canelo Alvarez, he wanted a return race and The return match was not like a titlet, ”the supporter Eddie Hearn at media About what Edgar Berlanga asked for his contract before his fight with Canelo Alvarez last September 14, wanting an easy race if he would lose the Mexican star. “If I win, I want a chance for a quick victory and then I go to a big match.”
Easy trap
You can’t wait to put a mismatch on the main event. Berlanga’s resume is full of easy opponents, none of whom were Headliner material. Canelo is the only good one. The other 21 children are rubbing. You have to give Hearn a lot of faith so that you can give a title for Berlanga against Canelo, as his resume swells with tomato containers from top to bottom.
Hearn says he tried to conclude an agreement with Dazn and Berlanga to lead Puerto Rico. The opponent is rumored to be a 39 -year -old craftsman Pink gabe (26-17-1, 15 kos). Hearn says he ran out of time trying to make a deal. Therefore, he chose the original provision of the contract for Berlanga to be on the Undercard.
Hearn says this is Berlanga’s final race of his contract with Matchroom and wants to expand his contract so he can match him with the factory or Jermall Charlo. It’s not clear if he does.
Berlanga vs Gonzalez-Tariz will be the co-power of Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams vs. Patrice Volny Card this Saturday March 15th.
