WNBA player Angel Reese ignited a Firestorm of Social Media after they claimed that players are willing to sit outside to demand higher salaries during Her podcast Friday.

Reese has laid down in the past about her financial situation.
“The Wnba Don’t pay my bills at all. I don’t even think it pays one of my bills. Literally, “said Reese.
Reese’s comments made heated debate on social media about a strike by a WNBA player that resulted in higher salaries. The Wnba has never made a profit in its existence and is subsidized by the NBA.

Reese stepped on the discussion when she called conservative influencer aka on X for a position that Reese said that she falsely claimed that she demanded that she had been paid as much as NBA players.
“I never said anything about the NBA. We are willing to stay at the negotiating table for as long as lasts,” said Reese.
Aka’s original post has since been removed.
Reese signed a four-year, $ 324,383 Rookie contract prior to her first Wnba season in 2024. She earned less than $ 75,000 in her first year and will earn less than that in 2025.

In October Reese admitted that she could not afford to pay her bills based on that salary in a live video from Instagram.

Reese said she pay $ 8,000 for rent.

The WNBA Players Union opted for its current collective employment contract in October, two years before the expiry of its current collective employment contract.
