Everton’s director David Moyes says he is not thinking of being safe from the risk of relegation – despite his impressive start in his life back in the hot Goodison Park seat.
Everton is seven games undefeated under Moyes and go on the weekend trip to Wolves 10 points in front of the hosts and 15 in front of 18th Ipswich.
It could get an unthinkable swing in form to put the toffees back into the relegation conflict, but Moyes gets it easy.
He said: “We always have to work on what could happen, but I think we are currently trying to see if we can get a little better in every game and play a little better and do better things.
“Players have done a remarkable job in the last five to six weeks, but I don’t think we are safe, that’s for sure. We must continue to get points.
“Goodison right now is special, but I have to say that we have gone away to Brighton, Crystal Palace and Brentford and players have done a great job. We must try to continue to go, continue to improve and make progress.”
Moyes’ return was a spectacular success for Everton this season, but former Manchester United manager is not a fan of starting time on Saturday.
It will be a delayed home return from West Midlands, with 8pm start to Molineux.

Moyes said, “I am usually a bottle of red wine under that time on Saturday!
“If you are traditional, then you probably do not see at 8pm on Saturday night as a good start time, but it is the way it goes and I think football clubs are signing on it because of the money coming from broadcasters.
“We have to go with him even if he will destroy some people on Saturday night.”
Everton remains without the attacked Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dwight McNeil and Iliman Ndiaye, so that Beto can again push the responsibility of the grading objectives.
