Neymar returns to the Brazilian team as Antonius left despite the revival of Real Betis

Brazilian’s top scorer Neymar is going to make his long -awaited return to international football after being named in the team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina.

The 33 -year -old forward has been sidelined since October 2023, when he suffered an ACL and meniscus on his left knee while representing Brazil. His absence became strongly noticeable, with the team competing in the South America qualifiers.

Neymar, who has completed a record of 79 goals in 128 appearances for his country, has no secret to his ambition to be presented in the 2026 World Cup, hosted by Canada, the United States and Mexico.

In an effort to regain form and fitness, he returned to the Santos Children’s Club during the winter transfer window after an injury with the Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, where he only had seven appearances in 18 months.

After the score in Santos 2-0 win over Bragantino-his third goal in four games-Neymar talked about his progress, saying: “I return to my best natural form.”

Since Neymar’s injury, Brazil faced difficulties in the World Cup qualifying campaign. The team is currently in fifth place in the ranking, Argentine leaders with seven points after 12 matches.

Under the coach Dorival Junior, Brazil has recorded five wins and four losses in the qualifiers.

The upcoming lamps will be critical, with a match at home against Colombia in Brazil on March 20, followed by a clash against the Kingdom of World Champions Argentina in Buenos Aires on March 25th.

In the meantime, there is no call for Manchester United’s Antonius, despite the fact that the wing named in the temporary team.

The attacker – for a loan to Real Betis – returned to his best in Spain, noting twice and adding two assists to the first five matches of La Liga.

But he has been overlooked in favor of the Premier League opponents, including Lucas Paqueta, Savinho and Joao Pedro.
