Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall will undergo a foot injury surgery and lose the rest of the season, the club said this morning.
The 20 -year -old suffered a hit in Liverpool defeat last week and was ruled out of the loss of Sunday’s FA Cup in Brighton as a result.
Now it will be absent when Newcastle will seek their first domestic trophy in 70 years when they meet Liverpool again in the EFL Cup final on Wembley on March 16th.
Lewis Hall will lose the rest of the season 2024/25 after being injured in a bone on his leg.
After scanning and advice by a specialist, Lewis will undergo surgery before a period of rehabilitation with the club’s medical team.

A statement from the club read: “Lewis Hall will lose the rest of the season 2024/25 after being injured in a bone on his leg.
“After scanning and tips by a specialist, Lewis will undergo surgery before a rehabilitation period with the club’s medical team.
“I wish you all the best for your surgery and rehabilitation, Lewis.”
More final sadness for magpies
It is the last blow to Newcastle in front of the final with Anthony Gordon, who had created a good relationship with Hall under the left-wing, was also excluded by suspension after being missed against Brighton.
The room would probably have been selected in Thomas Tuchel’s first England team, after impressing in the first two three Lions games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.
Tuchel calls his party next week for World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.
England has an issue on the left back with Luke Shaw injured and Ben Chilwell rarely saw Chelsea before entering Crystal Palace for a loan in January.
