Alligator seized during operation aimed at gang members in Texas


A multi-agency operation in Dallas resulted in the arrest of eight alleged gang members in possession of weapons, drugs, money and a reptile complicit.

Young, Love, Bowman, Wingham and Wheatley were all accused of conspiracy to possess with the intention of distributing regulated substances, while Young, Love and Hewitt were also accused of criminal in possession of a firearm in the promotion of a drug trade.

Hewitt is also confronted with crimes of possession with intention to distribute A regulated substance and the use of a mobile phone to facilitate a drug crime.

Moreover, Williams and Thomas were accused of carjacking and waving with a firearm during a crime of violence.

“Operation Blue Laces” was performed by the ATF, the Dallas Field Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Dallas Police DepartmentHomeland Security Investigation, US Marshals Service, IRS Criminal Investigative Division, Texas Department of Public Safety, The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Game Warden.
