Speaker Mike Johnson calls Zenskyy about behavior during Trump meeting


House speaker Mike Johnson called on the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zenskyy on Sunday for interrupting and eliminating President Donald Trump and vice president JD Vance during their Meeting in the White HouseAnd said he was surprised by his behavior.

“The person who walked away from the table yesterday was President Zenskyy. I mean, look, I have been involved in many bilateral meetings such as these with heads of state and dignitaries. Anxious, I think, to enter into this agreement,” said Johnson.

Dana Bash van CNN asked Johnson to respond to the reaction of the Republican Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski on the collision of Trump-Lelenskyy. Murkowski accused Trump of “running away from our allies and embracing Putin”, In a message on x.

“The Mineral Rights Agreement would be a win-win for both countries. It would give us an economic interest there, and everyone around the world knows that America will always defend our interests and our people. We would have created an economic partnership with Ukraine in a time when it should be called again. And that would have been a great thing.”

“And I don’t understand why President Zenskyy would not accept that gratefully. And I think it is a big mistake. And I hope he will change his mind because we have to put an end to this conflict,” the speaker continued.

Johnson also spoke with NBC News’ Kristen Welker during ‘Meet the Press’ on Sunday, in which Johnson was put under pressure whether the US abandoned Ukraine.

“I was a day before that meeting with the president and he was enthusiastic about this deal of mineral rights. He believed it, and we all thought it was in the best interest of both countries. It is not the president and the vice-president who fed Zolenskyy. Johnson said.

“It is pretty absurd for everyone in the media or Democrats to somehow proclaim that President Trump, the White House or Republicans are in the congress on Putin’s side,” Johnson told Welker.

Johnson was put under pressure on what he thought of the Russian Vladimir Putin during his CNN interview.

“I think Vladimir Putin is an old-school communist, a former KGB agent. And he is not to be trusted, and he is dangerous. The way I see this is that China, Russia, Iran and North Korea are busy with a new ash powers, and they are not to America,” he replied.

Trump accused Zenskyy From the “not respect” of the US during their meeting on Friday and said that the Ukrainian leader was not ready to guarantee the peace for his country.

“I have established that President Zenskyy is not ready for peace when America is involved, because he thinks our involvement gives him a big advantage of the negotiations,” Trump said in a social post truth Friday. “I don’t want an advantage, I want peace. He respected the United States of America in his beloved Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for peace.”
