Barcelona returned to the Laliga Summit with a 4-0 win over Real Sociedad.
A clinical performance by the hosts, with the help of an early red card for Captain Sociedad Aitz Elustondo, saw them continue their push for the title of the league.
Real Sociedad believed they had a dream to start when they found the net for just four minutes in, with the cut of Ander Barrenetxea leading to Jon Gomez’s fading finish. However, the target was quickly excluded due to a marginal offside by Jon Lopez in accumulation, promoting a disappointing afternoon for visitors.
Things got a drastic turn in the 17th minute when the captain of the Sociedad Elustondo showed a straight red card. Floodgates were threatening to open and the second goal came in the 29th minute. The corner of Pedri was clear from goalkeeper Sociedad Alex Remiro, but the ball fell to Olmo, whose strong strike took a lucky diversion from Marc Casado before being in the lower corner.
