Brighton will give everything to win the fa cup

Brighton’s director Fabian Hurzeler says his side will be fully focused on trying to win the FA Cup this season – starting with Newcastle on Sunday.

The Seagulls have finished ninth and sixth in the last two seasons and today are in the eighth place in the Premier League, just four points from the top four.

But they haven’t won a great honor yet, losing the FA Cup final in a repetition at Manchester United in 1983, and Hurzeler says success should be a priority.

He said: “First of all, this is my job. I always try to give everything for the club and, of course, I always want the club to be the most successful we can be.

“This is my job, along with staff and players, and therefore we try this.

“We promise everyone that we will try to give everything on the pitch and next to the stadium to make them proud, but we cannot promise to win a title.

This is the thing we have to work on and the thing we are trying to do in our daily behavior and then we will see what comes in the future. ”

Brighton’s head on Sunday’s game in good form with four wins in a row after 7-0 beating Nottingham Forest in early February.

Newcastle competed in the middle week without Talismanic Striker Alexander Isak, but Hurzeler says his side will be prepared as if he were the Swedish.

He said: “He (ISAK) is a special player – a player who can make a difference. You can’t replace a player like this because he doesn’t have each team two, three or four players of this quality.

“Therefore, it’s a different game if he won’t play, but the thing is now we don’t know it, so we really have to prepare as if Isak is starting. We have to prepare for his actions, his behavior and how we want to defend it together as a team.

“You can’t play and say he won’t play. I’m sure they’ll try everything to make him right for the game and we have to be ready for it.”
