“I would definitely support my friend (Scott Jennings) for the US Senate. But he would also be a good governor for the great state of Kentucky,” Twoe the Republican Strategist Dustin Grage.
As far as McConnell was concerned, the former leader of the majority of the Senate said last week that he would not look for another term, so that the door would remain wide open for contenders in 2026.

“Seven times my colleague Kentuckians sent me to the Senate,” said McConnell, who first took office in 1985, on the Senate floor as he announced his retirement.
“Every day in between, I was humiliated by the trust they have placed in me to do their business here. Representing our Commonwealth has been the honor of your life. I will not look for this honor in an eighth time. My current term in the Senate will be my last,” he added.
Former attorney -general Daniel Cameron van Kentucky has already entered the race, and Rep. Andy Barr Also looks at an offer. Cameron walked to the Governor in 2023, but he lost closely to the Democratic government Andy Beshear.

In a recent campaign video, Cameron McConnell mentioned in name for voting against the nominations of Minister of Defense Pete Hegseeth, director of National Intelligence Tulsi gabbard and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
“You would expect a senator from Kentucky who votes to promote the nominees to promote the agenda ‘America First’,” Cameron said.

Neither Trump nor McConnell have announced an approval in the race.
Fox News Digital reached Jennings, but did not receive any comments.
