Search on the way to Colorado Man in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park


A search is going on in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park In Colorado For a Denver man who disappeared almost two weeks ago, officials said Monday.

Jordan Marsters, 31, traveled through Grand Junction on 11 February and was in Montrose, a city near the park, on February 12 and February 13, the National park service (NPS) said in a press release.

One of the last known locations of Marsters was around 7.20 am in the park on February 13, said NPS.

Park officials did not specify where Marsters was last seen in the park.

It was unclear when Marters was reported exactly missing. NPS said Monday that park staff and the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office Were now looking for the missing man.

Marsters was described as a white man with blond hair and blue eyes, with a weight of around 140 pounds and standing 5-foot-7-inch long. He was last seen in a brown coat and black hoodie and rode in a white Kia Fuente rental car with Texas -greemte plates.

The park in the west of Colorado is known for its rugged landscape that surrounds part of a deep gap, cut by the river Gunnison. Paths and roads run past parts of the edge.

The Park website shows that three large roads have remained closed before the winter, while the conditions in the park were described as icy and smooth, with “packaged snow and ice” reported on several paths.
