Drogba hits back
Drogba, who played for Galatasaray and worked under Mourinho in Chelsea, jumped in defense of his former boss, writing on X: “Beloved @Galatasaraysk
“You know how proud I was to wear the yellow and red jersey and my love for the most decorated club in Turkey !! We all know how passionate and heated rivalries it can be and I am lucky enough to experience it.
“I have seen the recent comments about Jose Mourinho. Believe me when I tell you that I have met Jose for XX years and he is not racist and the story (past and recent) is there to prove it. Let us focus on our games, to We support our brilliant lions and let’s win the championship.
“How can my” dad “be a racist? Come on guys. ”
Furious gala blame Mourinho of “inhuman rhetoric”
Galatasaray’s statement was released about three hours after the final whistle on Monday, when tensions were still high.
He read: “Since the start of his administrative duties in Turkey, Fenerbahçe’s director Jose Mourinho has issued persistently derogatory statements addressed to the Turkish people.
“Today, his speech has escaped beyond simple unethical comments in undoubtedly inhumane rhetoric.
“We are officially declaring our intention to start criminal proceedings about Jose Mourinho’s racist statements and therefore submits official complaints to UEFA and FIFA.
“In addition, we will be thoroughly observed the attitude adopted by Fenerbahçe – an institution that states that it will support the” exemplary moral values ” – the response to the condemnable behavior manifested by their director.”
Fener stands by their husband
Fener responded on Tuesday morning, accusing their opponents of “remarkable slander”.
They wrote: “This statement has become necessary on a subject that was on the agenda after the match he played between our team and Galatasaray.
“A statement made by our technical director José Mourinho after the race was completely out of the context and deliberately deformed, as any man of common sense can see and understand.
“These expressions, used by José Mourinho to describe the extreme reaction of the opponent’s technical staff to the referee’s decisions during the match, can in no way be linked to racism.
“Trying to visualize this as a racist is a completely malicious approach.
“We would like to inform the public that we will exercise our legal rights about this miserable slander that aims to get the competition out of the sector, change the agenda and handle it.”
Ivory Coast International Drogba enjoyed the best spell of his career in Chelsea, winning four Premier League titles, as well as the 2012 Crown Champions League.
