White house Officials confirmed with Fox News that although billionaire Elon Musk supervises the Ministry of Government Efficiency (Doge), an acting manager has been appointed as the role.
Amy Gleason, who is a low-profile manager with an expertise in health care technology, has been appointed as the acting leader of Doge, the department responsible for disintegrating many federal agencies and at the same time finding and accelerating billions of dollars.
Gleason’s identity was unveiled after a reporter had pressed the Minister of Press Karoline Leavitt of the White House to who actually run Doge.
Nancy Cordes of CBS News pointed out that President Te Leavitt Donald Trump’s Executive order to create doge, called for the appointment of a doge manager. Then she asked the president’s spokesperson who serves as the Doge administrator.

So, the president showed up Elon Musk To supervise the do-up effort, “Leavitt said.” There are career officers and there are political initiative who help doge run daily.
“There are also people who are on board every desk on board as a political approach to work together with President Trump’s cabinet to find and identify wastage, fraud and abuse, and they work on that effort every day. “
Cordes quickly asked: “So, is Elon Musk the manager?” As Leavitt called twice on another reporter.

After the exchange, Fox News heard of the temporary appointment of Gleason.

Gleason, 53, worked from 2018 to 2021 for the digital service of the United States, an agency that has been renamed the US Doge Service, according to her LinkedIn profile. In that role she worked with the White House on the federal response to the Coronavirus -Pandemie.
Gleason returned to the agency after the return of Trump to the Oval Office in January.
