Gopers press for release of JFK, Epstein files: here is why they are not out yet


Republicans are increasing pressure on the Ministry of Justice to promote the release of classified documents and records with regard to the murder of President John F. Kennedy and other federal secrets.

President Donald Trump Signed an executive order in January for agencies to make plans to distribute the files, as well as documents related to the murders of senator Robert F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“On 11 February and 19 February, House Oversight sent a letter to the Doj asking for status when releasing the Epstein files and JFK etc.,” Luna said in a message on X Monday. “The DOJ did not respond. Reach X because we cannot get a response from the AG. @Agpambondi What is the status of the documents? These documents have ordered the assignment to be declared.”

Luna sent a letter to director of National Intelligence Tulsi gabbardAttorney General Pam Bondi, national security adviser Michael Waltz and adviser David Warrington of the White House who applies for a briefing on Thursday about plans for the release of the documents.

The letter also requires details about when the declared documents will become available for the Task Force and the public.

Trump’s executive order gave the Ministry of Justice to coordinate with Gabbard, Waltz and Warrington to prepare a plan on 7 February for the release of the JFK files, and to make a plan for the Release of the MLK and Robert F. Kennedy files by March 9.

Moreover, Luna forces the Ministry of Justice to share details about the Jeffrey Epstein customer list. The American financier died in 2019 awaiting the process due to sex trade.

In the meantime, Bondi said on Friday that Epstein’s customer list was waiting for the assessment, and that she looked at the Kennedy and King files.

“It’s now on my desk to judge,” Bondi told “America Reports” host John Roberts on Friday about the Epstein files. “That has been a directive by President Trump.”

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice did not immediately respond to a request for comments from Fox News Digital.

The Luna office did not respond to a request for comments from Fox News Digital in response to Bondi’s statements.

Luna is not the only republican legislator who insists on the release of these documents. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, r-tenn., Also said that Democrats undermined her efforts on Monday to “crack the Epstein-Mensenhandel wide open” and promised that she would receive answers under the newly confirmed FBI director Kash Patel.

“The time for transparency is now,” said Blackburn in a Monday post on X.

Senator Mike Lee, R-Utah, also said in a Monday X post that the documents of the American people are, and “It’s about damn time they get access to it!”

The office for the director of National Intelligence also did not immediately respond to a request for comment from FOX News Digital, but told The Associated Press that a plan has been submitted with regard to the Kennedy files.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comments from Fox News Digital. However, Trump promised on the campaign track that he would declassify all JFK-related documents if he won the 2024 elections.

The task force of the house about the declassification of federal secrets is planned to keep his first public hearing on March 26.
