Boston Councilwoman responds to Tom Homan’s promise to bring “Hell” to Beantown

A member of the Boston city council called Border Tom Tom Homan in a position on social media and called on his promises to maintain the border policy of President Donald Trump “laughable”.

Councilor Sharon Durkan placed her answer to X after Homan said he would “take” Hell “to Beantown after the Boston police, the police commissioner Michael Cox Doubled the policy of the city of the city.

“You said you doubled that Ice’s law enforcement officers did not help. I am coming to Boston, and I bring hell,” Homan said at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Saturday. “I looked at the figures this morning … I stopped counting at nine. Nine children’s transport that were in prison in Massachusetts, but instead of honoring an ice law, you left them back to the street.”

“You are not a police commissioner,” Homan continued. ‘Remove that badge from your chest. Put it in the deskula. Because you became a politician. You have forgotten what it’s like to be an agent. “

Durkan responded by mocking Homan for briefly serving as a police officer in the village of West Carthage, New York, in the 1980s. Shortly thereafter he became a border patrol and has since worked for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the Obama government, as well as the first Trump government.

“Laughing that someone who has spent his career with checking a city that is smaller than a Fenway Park public thinks they can give Boston about public safety,” reads Durkan’s Post.

“Commissioner Michael Cox serves a distinction and deserves confidence with integrity,” the city officer continued. “Tom Homan should know, we don’t worry easily.”

In a recent interview, Cox said that Boston “does not enforce detainers” that have been submitted by ICE, according to the law of Massachusetts.

“We just don’t do that,” said Cox on a segment of WCVBs “on the record” show. “We do not maintain civil detainers with regard to federal immigration legislation. It is defined here in the state, and that is exactly how it works.”

The Boston Office of Ice’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) has supervised the arrest of various criminal migrants in recent weeks, including MS-13 gang members.

Earlier this month Ero Boston officers arrested an illegal alien from Guatemala accused of Multiple counts of rape of children.
