A shooting just outside Kirtland Air Force Base New Mexico Let one kite dead and another admitted to the hospital on Saturday morning, the Air Force said.
Members of the 377TH Security Forces Squadron responded to an incident on the Truman port of the Albuquerque Base around 2 o’clock Saturday.
The kite was found on the spot, the Air Force said.
The second injured kite was shot in the hand and was released from the hospital, the Air force said in the release.

In an update, the Air Force said that an incident led to an off-base chase that resulted in the shooting.
The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is investigating the shooting together with the FBI and Albuquerque Police Department.
The Air Force added that the public is not a threat.

The army has not revealed the identity of the shooter or said whether someone is in custody.
The Albuquerque police are no longer looking for suspects, police spokesman Gilbert Gallegos told The Associated Press.

The Air Force said the shooting was not an attack by an outsider or related to terrorism.
