Asensio Bags Brace As Villa completes the second half return


Marco Asensio threw a second half as Aston Villa came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 at Villa Park on Saturday night.

Blues advantage. But shortly after Ollie Watkins he went near when his shot popped his feet by Chelsea resident Philip Jorden.

The offside flag was initially brought up, but after a VAR check, the target was awarded and the villa was back in the tie.

Cole Palmer then had a great opportunity to restore Chelsea’s lead when he played by Moises Caicedo. But international England was hesitant to take the plan and the delay allowed Ezri Konsa to return and prevent the final effort.

The game began to open. A point is apparently considered inadequate by any group.

A tie seemed unlikely and, quite certain, as the game headed for the second year of stoppage, Villa claimed the advantage.

Rashford slipped Donyell Malen, but Jorgensen was equal to it. However, from the resulting nearby corner, the Rashford ball met by Asensio, whose shot squeezes through Chelsea’s hands.

He seemed to be an elementary save, but Jorgensen made a real hash from it to give the hosts the lead and, ultimately, the three points.
