Under the Biden Administration The US Army defended his warships who patrol the Red Sea and Bab Alab Street, and accompanied and prevented attacks on commercial ships by the Houthis after 7 October 2023, attack in Israel by Hamas.

The Houthi attacks started shortly after the Israeli army responded in Gaza on October 7. US Central Command then escalated his attacks on the Houthis to break down infrastructure and weapon storage facilities.

Now there is a policy debate at the highest level of the US Army about the best way to combat the Houthis, which the Trump administration has restored the terror list of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The debate is now whether to perform a more traditional terrorism determination of the Houthis, with persistent strikes that are aimed at the individuals who plan and execute the current attacks, or whether they should follow a more defensive approach and continue after Houthi infrastructure and weapon-dependent Facilities.

The policy decision will ultimately be determined by the White House.

Senior military leaders believe that it can only be a matter of time before a Houthi rocket hits an American navy ship, which can cause devastating injuries and damage to the aircraft carriers and destructors who have been patrol the Red Sea since then, attack shortly after 7 October.
