US flies almost 200 illegal immigrants back to Venezuela from Gitmo


Almost 200 Venezuelan illegal immigrants Detained in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, were shipped home this week in several flights after the South -American nation expressed the willingness to accept its citizens.

The 177 Venezuelans were on board an American customs and immigration enforcement flight that had a stopover in Honduras before landing in Caracas.

Last week two Venezuelan flights wore 190 illegal immigrants from the United States to Venezuela.

In January, President Donald Trump said he wanted to expand immigrants detention centers in Guantánamo to keep no fewer than 30,000 people. The military basis is best known for retaining terrorism suspects after the attacks of 11 September 2001.

“Some of them are so bad that we don’t even trust the countries to hold them because we don’t want them to come back, so we’re going to send them to Guantánamo,” Trump said at the time.

The acceptance by Venezuela could indicate to the willingness of the country to regularly take back his citizens who enter the US illegally.

“Venezuela had traditionally resisted the acceptance of repatriation of his citizens, but recently started accepting removals after political discussions at a high level and an investment of important resources,” wrote federal immigration and military officials in a burglary document on Thursday was submitted.

The US government has claimed that Venezuelan immigrants who have been transferred to the navy base are a member of the Aragua -train gang. Trump has the gang in the face of the alleged threat of immigrants who live illegally in the country, in the face of the alleged threat.

On Thursday, the Venezuelan Government President Nicolás Maduro said that the country “will always fight against terrorism and criminal organizations of any nature whatsoever, as he expands the manipulation of these elements for political goals and to criminalize any attempt to criminalize the nation and his citizens ways.”
