Brighton boss Hurzeler is ready to take previous lessons in rematch against Southampton

The director of Brighton Fabian Hurzeler has described the basic regular elements that must be cautious to beat Southampton this weekend.

Seagulls travel to St Mary’s on Saturday, with the aim of delivering their opponents to South Coast a third consecutive home defeat in so many weeks.

The head of Southampton Ivan Juric is struggling to keep his side in the Premier League, with a 10 -point discouraging gap now separated from the 17th wolves and security.

Hurzeler has made a significant regular shift since Juric took over, removing from the approach observed during a 1-1 draw in November below Russell Martin.

“There has been a change. In general, they play very oriented to man,” the German said.

“They are trying to create using the target player more and more.

“They have players at the forefront who have the ability to score after each action. In addition, I see that they play a little more immediate.

“They are trying to hit more men, try to press too high, try to be very aggressive. I think there was a change of style, yes.”

In the previous meeting between the two teams, Flynn Downes saved a point for Southampton, after Kaoru Mitoma had put Brighton ahead.

The saints also had a goal that had not been banned in a controversial way. Although Southampton was forced to settle for a tie, Brighton climbed second at that time.

Now, the Hurzeler team is sitting in the 10th place in the league.

Reflecting in this race, Hurzeler recognized the lessons that his side could take at this meeting.

“Players are still the same. They have a lot of players with a right, for example.

“In their accumulation, this is one thing we have to take care of. They play a lot to give and go with their headquarters. These things have not changed.

“Of course you can look back on the game we had at Amex. You can think about it. You can take some lessons from this game.

“Let’s hope you can do some small details better than we did in the last game. Depending on how we work individually, how we win personal duels.

“This was the main thing where, especially in the second half, they were better than us in the first game.”

Brighton will hope to apply these lessons on Saturday as they seek to continue their push for a strong premiere in the Premier League.
