NBA -star Kevin Durant Treken Talking about Team USA, Olympic Games


Talking about playing for Team USA had an eternal NBA All-Star Kevin Durant In tears.

The new Netflix docuseries “Court of Gold” had access to all things basketball behind the scenes at the 2024 Olympic Games in ParisIncluding Team USA, which Durant played in his fourth Olympic Games.

In Netflix’s teaser video of the docuseries, which was released on Monday, an emotional durant had to stop halfway through an interview to sweep his tears while talking about his time with Team USA and how much it means for him.

“I come from neighborhoods where people don’t even talk to each other,” Durant said with emotion. “There is also so much hatred in the world. When people start laughing and joking for the game of the ball, it’s cool for me.

“So, it makes me emotional, dog.”

Seeing the world unite through the basketball game is something that durant still fascinates to this day.

“It’s crazy to see people traveling for so long to see their favorite player playing at the Olympic Games,” he explained. “They send their money, they bring their entire family. It’s just dope for me.”

Durant further said that “the game saved my life. It brought me and my family out of many bulls —. I am just grateful for it.”

Durant is one of the many USA stars team in the six-part docuseries, but he is perhaps the best player ever wearing the red, white and blue on his sweater.

Durant did not play for Team USA in the 2008 Olympic Games after his Rookie season, but he has made the last four games part of the Gold-Medal-winning teams. No player in the American basketball history has four gold medals to their name.

Durant has also scored most points by a basketball player, men or women from Team USA, and he did this to help the US win gold in Paris about France.

The Phoenix Suns star is 36 years old and has played professional basketball for the past 17 years after he was selected second by the then 2007 NBA Draft.

Durant has made 15 All-Star teams, won two NBA final with the Golden State Warriors, be four times the most important scorer of the NBA and make the All-NBA team 11 times.

There is no doubt that Durant Future Hall of Famer has written about his CV, but he clearly loves playing the game for his country and in the NBA.
