President Donald Trump Steps on border security and deportation – efforts, agents with customs and border protection (CBP) and immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) are under alarming advanced threats for their safety, an expert to Fox News Digital tells.

“The cartels lose things. The encounters on the border are the lowest they have been in decades, and the cartels will not only give up that company,” Fox News Digital told.

The comments come after it was reported during the weekend CBP agents Will no longer wear body cameras during field operations, a reaction to a post on Reddit who claimed that it could help people follow agents who wear the cameras with an application called Ble Radar, who uses Bluetooth to on such devices within a radius of 100 meters to scan.

“In anticipation of the completion of research and risk reduction, all agents will decrease the use of their BWCs (cameras supported by the body) for further notification. Additional guidelines and information will be distributed as it is received,” has a guideline on the weekend announced.

While following agents was presented as a way to Help immigrants Find soft places on the border, it also opened agents for their safety threats, including improvised explosive devices.

Cartels can also use the tracking information to threaten the life of agents, Ries noted.

“It is possible that they can use the cameras … the frequency under-shepping at a low level to follow the agents, harm the agents and attack the agents,” said Ries.

Ries also noted that the cameras played an important role in protecting field agents against false claims of abuse, so that important evidence they will not have after meeting migrants.

“I expect that the number of claims of abuse is about to ignore to use this lack of camera use,” said Ries.

When it comes to cartels, Ries noted that warnings were sent that cartels could use shooters on the other side of the border to aim agents.

“I just saw a memo about it possible to use a shooter on the Mexican side to shoot at our agents and our army, so we must assume that this is planned and use countermeasures against it,” Ries said.

Ries also noted that cartels have effectively used drones in the past to follow CBP agents, although that threat could now be lower with the increased military presence on the border.

Apart from the threats cartelsCBP and ICE agencies are also confronted with dangers from the borders of the US, noted Ries, pointing to leaks of ice raids as an example of something that recently endangered agents has.

“That subjects ice officers are ambushed,” said Ries. “It is one thing for alien beings to flee, so when ice appears, there is no one there … Worse if aliens stay here and attack ice officers, that’s a risk.”

Such leaks of planned operations and technological vulnerabilities can remain a threat to the safety of agents, since those who were against Trump’s enforcement -oriented agenda try to undermine those plans, Ries said.

By combating such threats, not only awareness and smart tactics are needed during the activities, but also helping the congress to protect financing to equip agents with sufficient resources to combat the dangers.

“It’s technology, it’s equipment, it’s Intel and staff … they can’t just patrol, they have to work together,” said Ries. “The congress works, although too slowly, getting resources for BP and ICE to perform these massive deportations. The congress must get along.”
