Newcastle is working on the deal to sign the Flexible Premier League wing


Newcastle United is already planning their summer transport business, with Magpies wanting to strengthen their team as they push for a European spot in the Premier League.

One name that has emerged on their transport radar is the midfielder of Bournemouth Marcus Tavernier, with reports suggesting that Newcastle has laid the foundations for a possible summer swoop.

The 25 -year -old was a separate artist for Bournemouth, impressing with his flexibility, creativity and work rate. Able to operate in the central middle section, outside the Wide, or as a Playmaker attack, it fits into the profile of the dynamic, multifunction player Newcastle Boss Eddie Howe.

Interestingly, Tavernier started his football at the Newcastle United Academy Before moving to Middlesbrough at less than 14 years.

Following the rise of Boro’s youth system, he made his professional debut in 2017, followed by a loan to Milton Keynes Dons. He later became a key player in Middlesbrough, contributing 18 goals and 18 assists to 155 appearances before securing a Premier League move in Bournemouth in 2022.

Adaptation of the Premier League was impressive, with his ability to play in multiple aggressive and medium roles, making the main advantage for cherries. So far this season, Tavernier has played 20 games in all matches, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
