Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a group of senior officials to Saudi Aarabia for meetings with the US about a potential peace agreement for Ukraine, the Kremlin announced on Monday.

The officials, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Putin’s Foreign Affairs Consultant Yuri Ushakov, will meet American counterparts on Tuesday. The groups are planning to discuss a restoration of diplomatic ties in between Washington and Moscow, As well as a Ukrainian peace agreement and a potential meeting between President Donald Trump and Putin.
