President Donald Trump Speaked of his plans to end the Russian-Ukrainian war during a Persgroep on Sunday, stating that he believes that the leaders of both countries “want to stop fighting.”
Speaking on the asphalt on Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach, Florida, On Sunday afternoon, Trump said that he is currently “trying to get peace with Russia, Ukraine.”
“And we work very hard on it,” he said. “It’s a war that should never have started.”
When asked whether the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zenskyy is expected to be involved in the conversations, Trump replied in the affirmative.

“He will be involved, yes,” said Trump. When asked by a reporter, Trump also said that he would enable Europeans to buy American weapons that are sold to Ukraine.
The Republican president continued that he believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin, who started the war in February 2014 with the annexation of Crimea and escalated by Ukraine in February 2022, wants to end the war.
“I think he wants to stop fighting,” Trump said. “They have a large, powerful machine, do you understand that? And she defeated Hitler and they defeated Napoleon. You know, he has been fighting for a long time … I think he would like to stop fighting.”

“Zenskyy also wants to end it.”
Trump’s comments came shortly after one Interview “Meet the Press” With Zenskyy, NBC was broadcast, in which the Ukrainian leader Putin discussed and claimed that he “fears” Trump.
“I said (Putin) is a liar,” Zenskyy said about a recent phone call to Trump. “And he said,” I think my feeling is that he is ready for these negotiations. ” And I said to him: ‘No, he is a liar.

“But I think he’s really a bit afraid of the President Trump,” added Zenskyy. “And I think the president has this chance, and he is strong. And I think he can really push Putin into peace negotiations. Yes, I think so he can do it, but don’t trust him. Don’t trust Putin. Do not only trust words -Fires. “
