Democratic strategist Chuck Rocha complained that Trump’s popularity is being driven by his embrace of practical policy that Democrats left years ago.
“This is my favorite question,” replied Rocha. “We talked about this program before. I came to the Democratic party in 1989 because I wanted to fight NAFTA. I wanted to drain the swamps. I wanted to make sure that my tax dollars were not to foreign wars or drunk.”

“Listen, I think Trump is not scary when you think about what is scary without Trump in Washington, DC,” he said.
Instead, he suggested what would actually be scary, “an out of control bureaucracy that increasingly invades our lives, and people want to change that.”
“And I think that’s why – you know, I’m sorry you feel scared, but I think more and more people feel comfortable with what’s going on,” he added.
“You should sit here. I’m scared,” Rocha joked.
“I’m not afraid. I’m a Latino and I’m not afraid,” Lanza joked as an answer and got a smile from Rocha.
