A fiery pile in a tunnel on the Interstate 80 in Wyoming left at least two dead with five others who were injured late on Friday morning.
Fire and smoke waves out of the tunnel while people ran for safety.
Various points of sale reported that its structural integrity was threatened.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation said on social media that geologists and bridge engineers with his team “were on the road to assess the tunnel infrastructure.”
The crash happened around 11:37 am in the Western Green River Tunnel, which caused a fire in the tunnel, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

The smoke and an exploding band in the tunnel made it difficult for first responds to gain access after the crash, Wyoming Highway Patrol Tpr. Nicholas Warren said.

“My heart is broken for the families and loved ones of the victims of this horrible crash“Wydot director Darin Westby said in a statement.” My thoughts and prayers go to all who are involved. “We want to express our sincere appreciation to first responds in Sweetwater County for their support and help in responding to this tragic crash,” said Colonel Karl Germain Wyoming Highway Patrol Lt. Karl Germain in a statement.
“Motorists are reminded of posting posted speed limits through the detour, and delays are probably.”

The highway remained in both directions on Friday evening, with the eastern lanes of the tunnel being used for the first responder.
