The Democratic mayor of Milwaukee Cavalier Johnson removed a social media post after a shooting involved by officers who said that the death of the suspect was also a ‘tragedy’, which led to criticism from the Milwaukee Police Association.
“My thoughts are with the (Milwaukee Police) officer who was shot in the line today,” said the original X post. “The entire incident, including the death of the suspect, is a tragedy.”
The new version of the post only contains the first rule that expressed concern for the police officer.
The officer was reportedly shot by a suspect who was wearing a gun before the suspect was killed by another officer, Fox 6 Milwaukee reported.

The Milwaukee Police Association said that Johnson’s original post was offensive to law enforcement.
