Watkins and mings to return against tractors boys

Aston Villa will be available by Ollie Watkins and Tyrone Mings when hosting Ipswich on Saturday.

Both lost the fourth victory of last Sunday’s FA Cup over Tottenham in Villa Park and the hand Unei Emery a great boost, but the Villans are stir without other key players.

Matty Cash, Pau Torres, Amadou Onana, Ross Barkley have all been absent in recent games, with Ezri Konsa joining them in the absentee list after injuring at 2-1 over the Spurs.

Emery said: “Still out for tomorrow there are matty cash, pau torres, Ezri Konsa, Amadou Onana, Ross Barkley.

“Those who have been trained this morning with the team. They are in the team are Tyrone Mings and Ollie Watkins.”

January signatures and team balance

Konsa’s injury could see in January signing Axel Disasi starting at the center of the villa for the villa having lost last weekend’s victory because it was tied up.

Villa also signed Marcus Rashford, Marco Asensio, Donyell Malen and Andres Garcia in January, and Emery says he is happy with the balance he now has in his team.

He added: “Yes, but my opinion on how we do, the process, is still in balance. The balance is because we have to see it, in the process we are going to create and be here.

“Every fight is an opportunity where we can see whether we become stronger or not, whether we are closer to our goal in our demands or not.

“This is the next challenge I have for the next three and a half months in the various competitions. They are very exciting that we have, fa cup, Champions League and the Premier League.”

Ipswich a ‘very good opponent’

Ipswich is 19th in the Premier League, three security points, but Emery believes it is for a difficult afternoon on Saturday.

The Basque boss said: “A great opportunity for the team, for players and supporters. It’s about how we can face a Premier League match with the players we have and with the idea and style we want to try .

“They perform very well. I appreciate how they play and compete. The coach has a good effect regularly and then to players with Liam Delap playing and playing very well.

“Of course, they are at the bottom of the championship, but this is due to the fact that after promoting them in the Premier League he has asked for. It will be a difficult match and we respect them a lot.”
