Michael Oliver delivered two VAR assignments this weekend

Michael Oliver will not referee a game this weekend, although he has been assigned two races as VAR, as the fall continues by MerseySide Derby last night.

Oliver rejected Liverpool’s midfielder Curtis Jones and Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure after the couple’s band after the final whistle at a horrible meeting 2-2 at Goodison Park.

The employee also sent Reds Boss Arne Slot, after the Dutchman used an offensive language in his direction with Liverpool, who had been allowed in Liverpool, that James Tarkowski’s latest Gasp equator had been allowed to stand.

The Premier League announced yesterday’s weekend missions before Merseyside’s Derby and Oliver will not get in the race but will be in the Bunker in Stockley Park.

  • Saturday 15 February – Aston Villa V Ipswich: VAR

The Lewis-Skelly incident is still fresh in memory

Last night it was not the first brush of Oliver with a dispute this season.

Newcastle’s employee was the subject of widespread criticism of his decision to send Arsenal Full-Back Myles Lewis-Skelly to Gunners 1-0 victory over Wolves last month.

Police had to be placed outside Oliver’s house after threats to the social media to the referee’s family.

The referee Body PGMOL published a statement that wrote: “We are frightened by the threats and abuse addressed to Michael Oliver after Wolves V Arsenal. No employee should be subject to any form of abuse, let alone the heinous attacks addressed Michael and his family in the last 24 hours.

“Police know and have begun several investigations. We support Michael and all those who are affected and are determined to face this unacceptable behavior. Unfortunately, this is not the first time a race employee has been forced to face threats in recent years.”

Lewis-Skelly’s red card was later canceled after appeal.
