The actions of resistance came in the midst of the efforts of President Donald Trump to revise the agency, of which he said it was armed against political opponents, Reuters reported.

“I remain stunned by the hurried and superficial process with which this decision was made,” Sassoon wrote in a letter to attorney -general Pam Bondi.
Adams, a Democrat who said he was the target of the Biden Government, was willing to collaborate with the Trump administration to curb illegal immigration. Adams did not owe accusations that he accepted bribes from Turkish officials.
“Instead of being rewarded, the advocacy of Adams must be called for what it is: an incorrect range of assistance in immigration enforcement in exchange for a dismissal of his case,” Sassoon wrote to Bondi.
Adams’ lawyer Alex Spiro said in an e -mail to Reuters that the charges against his client are a ‘sham’.
“If Sdny had some evidence that the mayor would destroy evidence, they would have lodged those charges – as they were constantly threatening, but not, in months and months,” Spiro wrote. “This newest false claim is just the farewell photo of a miserable persecution that is exposed as a sham.”
In his Thursday Memo, Bove wrote that Sassoon had refused to comply with what he called the finding of his office that the case against Adams amounted to the weapons of the legal system.
“Your resignation is accepted … You lost the oath that you took when you started at the Doj,” he wrote.
“Your office has no authority to dispute the armament,” wrote Bove, Trump’s former personal criminal lawyer. “The Ministry of Justice will not tolerate insubordination.”

Keller also resigned on Thursday, two people who were familiar with the case, said, as well as Kevin Driscoll, a high official in the department criminal division.
Three other representatives in the public corruption unit of the Ministry of Justice – Rob Heberle, Jenn Clarke and Marco Palmieri – also resigned on the Adams case on Thursday, a person who was familiar with the case.
An official from the Ministry of Justice confirmed the dismissal of Keller and Driscoll and did not immediately respond to a request for comments on the other three.

Fox News Digital has contacted the White House. Since coming up in January, Trump has fired More than a dozen federal prosecutors who strive for things against him.
In a statement to Fox News, Bove said that he concluded that the prosecution against Adams should be rejected to “prioritize national security and public security than continue with a case affected by disturbing tactics from the start”.
“There is no room at the Ministry of Justice for Lawyers who refuse to implement the priorities of the executive – priorities determined by the American people,” he said. “I look forward to working with new leadership at SDNY on the important priorities that President Trump has assigned to us to make America safe again.”
