For the first time in English domestic football, offside semi -automatic technology will be introduced during the fifth round of the FA Cup.
On Thursday, the Football Association announced that this technology will develop in the seven matches in the Premier League.
The Premier League clubs initially approved the use of technology for 2024-25 in April, with plans to surpass it in October 2024.
However, its application was postponed to allow additional tests, which have only increased pressure on officials this season.
FA said: “After the successful live operation at the Emirates fa cup, the Premier League will look to implement the system later this season.
“The offside semi -automatic technology will provide more efficient installation of the offside virtual line, based on watching visual reproduction devices, and will produce virtual graphics to ensure improved stage experience and after the broadcast for supporters.
