Dallas Cowboys officially presented their 10th coach in franchise history after a very published search that included two prominent names in Deion Sanders and Pete Carroll.
Eventually, the franchise decided to look inward and promote aggressive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer’s coach, launching a new era of Cowboys football. The fans had mixed reactions to the lease, mainly because Schottenheimer had previously worked under Mike McCarthy, suggesting that the team could continue with some of McCarthy’s ideas. In addition, Schottenheimer did not call the works as an aggressive coordinator, who raised further concerns.
Cowboys’ former wide receiver, Dez Bryant, expressed a more pessimistic view of the recruitment of Schottenheimer. During an interview with Sirius XM, Bryant shared his thoughts on leasing Schottenheimer, accusing Dallas of not being “serious” for the future:

“During the search for a coaching, the Dallas cowboys were mainly associated with three names. After splitting with Mike McCarthy, Jerry Jones arrived Deion sanderswho expressed flattery but did not continue the opportunity further.
The search was then confined to former aggressive coordinator Kellen Moore and aggressive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.
After an interview by Schottenheimer, the Cowboys were quickly scheduled for a second round with their interior OC. This interview lasted more and Jerry Jones acknowledged the danger of the recruitment of Schottenheimer as a coach, but remained optimistic about the future of the franchise.
Meanwhile, Kellen Moore is expected to become the next coach of the New Orleans Saints Super bowl Complete on Sunday.
