Newly released video recorded when the driver of an SUV escaped from an SUV just before the vehicle was smashed by a passenger train of Utah Transit Authority (UTA) in Layton, UtahLast week.
The video, recorded from the locomotive, showed the train that turned the tracks to a railway crossing.

KSLTV in Salt Lake City spoke with UTA Public Information Officer Gavin Gustafson, who said everyone was lucky to have escaped without injuries.
He also told the station that it is easy to watch the video and wants the driver to pull or reverse and break the arm, although the driver was probably in shock.
“I will certainly not reconsider them in the heat of the moment,” said Gustafson. “And sometimes the view can be blocked by something else, you don’t want to pull forward when another train arrives.”
Gustafson did not immediately respond to FOX News Digital’s request to comment on this.
