Dmitry Bivol feels confident now that he can stand in the pocket and fight Artur Beterbiev on their own Dazn ppv Rematch in 10 days on February 22 at The Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Bivol (23-1, 12 kos) says that his success when he is stable in his previous battle against Beterbiev (21-0, 20 kos) makes him believe he can do more of them. He realizes that he is not going to win if he cannot prove to the judges that he can exchange with Beterbiev because the last time they fought on October 12, he moved a lot and gave the fight.
Bivol’s new mindset
If Bivol moves all night, it would be a bad look for him because the judges will see that he is fighting the same way as the last time. They are not going to give him the decision based on running. Bivol’s supporter, Eddie Hearn, still felt that he won battles in this way, but the people who matter, the judges, did not.
The undisputed lightweight Beterbiev heavyweight champion will try to make use of Bivol that shows more bravery, looking to hit him. He hurt Bivol in the seventh round when he stood a little too much in front of him.
There the race changed his hands because Beterbiev seemed to smell blood when he broke Bivol and went to the end. What was amazing was that Bivol was not willing to fight him because he was courageous against other punchers in the past, such as Canelo Alvarez and Lyndon Arthur. It is possible that the shot that Beterbiev hurt Bivol in the seventh round made him realize that he was not equipped to get such punches.

If Bivol can overcome Beterbiev to get the win, he will hit his ticket for a lucrative trilogy race and this gives him the opportunity to show how much better he is. If it loses, it’s over. There will be no third race and will have to fight candidates such as David Morrell and Joshua Buatsi.
