US Special Envoy says that another American hostage has been set to return home

Fogel, 63, was referred to as incorrectly held by the US government. In the nine years prior to his arrest, he taught at the Anglo-American school in Moscow.

In a statement, Fogel’s wife Jane and Sons Ethan and Sam said that they were “grateful, relieved and overwhelmed” that he had been released.

Waltz said in his statement: “Since President Trump’s sworn, he has successfully protected the release of Americans around the world and President Trump will continue until all Americans being held back to the United States.

Fogel graduated in 1984 at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
