The Indiana fever needed to make some upgrades of the schedule to fight for a WNBA championship and to give Caitlin Clark Extra firepower on both sides of the ball.
The team did exactly that.

Fever Her signed Kelsey Mitchell, taken over Sophie Cunningham from the Phoenix Mercury and added Natasha Howard, Dewanna Bonner and Sydney Colson. In a low season where the Las Vegas Ace Kelsey Plum saw for the sparks in Los Angeles, the fever may have made some of the smartest movements that went under the radar.
‘I have to train with DB. Because some competitions out of season and overseas things close a little, many of them will come back and I think it will be a lot of fun to go to the gym and be with my teammates and just start putting the pieces together and see what works or what is not, “Clark said on Bonner’s introductory press conference, via CBS Sport. “But I think we will have many different options to do many different things. I think that is super exciting.”

Clark, Mitchell and Aliyah Boston shone clearly in the 2024 season. Clark won the Rookie of the Year Award and received a few MVP votes. Mitchell was an All-Star for the second consecutive season. Boston was also an All-Star for the second time and built Momentum after her smoking year.
Add players with Playoff experience and a coach in Stephanie White, who in the last two seasons coached the Connecticut Sun to at least 27 victories, and the fever became formidable contenders in 2025 for the WNBA title.
Bonner is a six-time All-Star and two-time WNBA champion in itself. She is also not someone who is intimidated or tampered with, because she has been proven to have her teammates back -up -up back -up, regardless of which team she plays. She proved that in the Play -offs last season When she and Clark had a spit into play.
“I think it is only two competitive players who want to win and push their team to cross the finish line. They were the play -offs, so emotions are high, tensions are high,” she remembered, through the Indy -star.
Bonner added that she and Clark had good training to build chemistry with Clark.

“I am just here to hopefully give my leadership advice,” Bonner added. “I don’t think I have to push her to be every form of player she is not yet, and I am just happy to be here, and I hope I can give her some knowledge to bring her game to a different level . “
