Two American tourists were attacked by a shark In a popular resort in Bahamas this weekend, the police said.
The female swimmers were in the waters in Bimini Bay, which is part of the most western island in the Bahamas and about 50 miles from Miami, around 6.30 pm on Friday when the attack took place.
“Initial reports indicate that the victims, both inhabitants of the US, suffered injuries while swimming in the waters in Bimini Bay,” the police of Royal Bahamas wrote in a press release.

Both victims of the reported shark attack were initially provided with local medical treatment before they were flown to the new providenceA separate island in the Bahamas, for further medical care.
“One of the victims of the victim is mentioned as serious,” the police continued on Saturday in their statement, and added that the investigation is underway.
At least two other Americans suffer from shark attacks in the Bahamas in just over a year.

The boy was taken to a hospital and survived the attack.
