A departing flight from American Airlines suddenly returned to the gate last week after crews were warned of suspicious activity on board with a WiFi hotspot name of a passenger containing the word ‘bomb’, the Austin Police Department (APD) told FOX News Digital.
The security problem took place last Friday American Airlines Flight 2863 planned to fly from Austin, Texas, to Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to a Reddit user who said they were on the plane, the hotspot was called “I have a bomb” or something like that. The Reddit user said the police claimed that the problem was caused by a passenger who played a joke.

The Austin police told Fox News Digital that the plane returned to the gate after the report, where the police led the plane and luggage, looking for explosives.
“All passengers were taken over and screened again by the transport security administration before she was allowed to board again,” said a police spokesperson.
