IBA to take legal action against the ILO for allowing Khelif and Lin to participate in Paris 2024

The International Boxing Association (IBA) boasts that it is the only international federation to protect the rights of athletes worldwide and to support the integrity of female sports. The executive decree of US President Donald Trump “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” proves that IBA was stable, protecting women’s boxers from unfair competition.

In the light of gender eligibility issues surrounding boxers in 2022 and 2023, IBA preventively conducted all the necessary tests and then prohibited people who were considered not eligible to participate in women’s competitions. In spite of the ILO notification of the exclusion of Imane Khelif And Lin Yu-ping, the ILO ignored this critical information, allowing the two athletes to compete in the qualifiers and eventually the 2024 Olympics, where they secured gold medals, refusing opportunities to deserve female athletes.

As a result, IBA is formalizing a formal complaint with Swiss Attorney General Stefan Blätter on the actions of the ILO that facilitated the participation of these non -eligible athletes in the 2024 Olympic Boxing Tournament in Paris. According to the Swiss law, any treatment or inaction that raises security for competition participants guarantees research and may serve as a reason for criminal prosecution. In addition, similar complaints should be filed with the Attorney General of France and the US.

“President Trump’s mandate to ban transsexual athletes from women’s sport validates IBA’s efforts to protect the integrity of female sports,” Iba Umar Kremlev. “Our actions aim to ensure gender equality in boxing. We urge other international federations to follow the IBA example, as we are uniquely positioned to address this issue and support the rights of our athletes.

President Kremlev further encouraged boxers who were influenced by the ILO decision to allow Khelif and Lin to compete in the Paris qualifications tournament or Olympic boxing events to exercise legal action against the President of the ILO Thomas Bach. Manager of McConnell and their respective groups.

“IBA will provide free legal support for our boxers in these lawsuits, as it is a clear violation of human rights, an anger for female boxers and simply a crime that must be punished accordingly. In my personal opinion, Thomas Bach will have to take full responsibility for it, as it was responsible when it happened and has to offset the caused by the court if the court or any other case rules it, “President Kremlev said.

Looking forward, the IBA will ensure the implementation of strict measures in the upcoming women’s boxing championship in NiÅ¡ to maintain the integrity of competitions, with particular emphasis on verification of gender eligibility. This initiative highlights the IBA’s dedication to providing a fair and just athletic environment for all athletes.
