Blaugrana move two points behind Laliga leaders

Barcelona secured a critical 4-1 victory over Sevilla, despite the fact that it went down to 10 men in the second half.

The goals by Robert Lewandowski, Fermin Lopez, Raphinha and Eric Garcia sealed the three points for visitors, while Ruben Vargas of Sevilla briefly restored the equality in the first half.

The game started with Barcelona taking the lead just six minutes in.

A well -edited corner routine saw Inigo Martinez shake the ball on the Lewandowski trail, who instinctively broke it beyond Nyland to give Barca the advantage.

However, lead was short -lived, as Sevilla responded just 77 seconds later.

Saul Niguez was perfectly running his run behind the Barcelona defense before stretching the ball to Varga, who made no mistake with a simple fountain to level the score at 1-1.

The first semester continued at a frantic pace, with both sides creating chances. Lamine Yamal was a constant threat, forcing Nyland to a spectacular savings, while Szczesny was just as busy, refusing Lukabkikio’s bold bike shortly before the break.

Both teams suffered injury phobias, with Ronald Araujo and Gavi getting hit, leading to an early replacement of Uruguay’s defender.

Xavi made a basic regular switch in the half, replacing Gavi with Fermin Lopez, a move that paid direct dividends.

Just seconds after the reboot, Pedri produced a moment of brilliance, with a perfect passage to the six -back box. Nyland incorrectly tightened the ball flight, allowing Fermin to head home and restore Barcelona’s lead on 2-1.

Seville pushed forward in search of an equalizer, but struggled to break a disciplined Backline in Barcelona. Their task became easier in the 62nd minute when Fermin went from the hero to the villain, taking a straight red card for a reckless studs-up challenge to Djibril Sow.

With Barcelona in 10 men, Seville pushed higher on the pitch, but did not have the final pass to create clear opportunities.

Visitors defended decisively and, against the course of the game, put the game in bed in the 55th minute. Pau Cubarsi played a simple pass to Raphinha, who weaves Sevilla’s defense before releasing a stunning strike in the far corner, making it 3-1.

Seville threw everything forward in the closure stages, with Suso coming close, but Szczesny stood stable to deny the hosts.

Eric Garcia rounded up a successful night by scoring in closing minutes to make it 4-1.
