A federal judge said on Friday that he would not immediately block the Ministry of Government Efficiency or Doge, access to systems in the labor department.
Judge John Bates of the American district said he was worried about Doge, but that the trade unions that have sued them to block their access to the systems have not yet provided evidence of any legal injury.
“Although the court is concerned about the alleged behavior of the defendants, it must currently deny the motion of claimants,” Bates wrote.
The labor department has investigated companies such as SpaceX and Tesla that are owned by Elon MuskThat doge leads and keeps track of these studies. The Department also has information about the trade secrets of these companies, said the trade unions in the court case.

The Occupational Safety Safety and Health Administration of the Department has investigated SpaceX and Tesla and fined the safety of employees, according to the trade unions.
The systems of the labor department contain medical and financial data from millions of Americans, including those who have submitted safety complaints about their employers.
The ruling comes after the Trump administration Earlier this week agreed that Doge would not have access to the Labor Department to this court decision.
The Ministry of Justice said that three doge employees have been assigned to the labor department and report it to her acting secretary, although they have been made special government employees and are obliged to follow the law with sensitive information about companies or employees in carrying out an assessment .

The DOGE team of Musk had gained access to payment systems for sensitive treasury department, although a judge has since blocked that access to Treasury records with sensitive personal data such as social security and bank account numbers for millions of Americans. DOGE has also largely dismantled the US Agency for International Development and offered financial incentives to millions of federal employees to resign.
“With every step, several laws break, from constitutional boundaries to executive power to laws that protect civil servants against random threats and adverse action, collected crucial protection for government data and stored on hundreds of millions of Americans,” Lawyers of worker represented by the Advocacy Group Democracy Forward wrote.

Leadership of the labor department told a trade union member this week that Doge would visit and employees should let them do “what they ask, not to press back, not ask questions,” the trade unions wrote.

The Ministry of Justice said that there is no evidence of misconduct and the judge may not “deliver a radical, prophylactic order … Based on the rank speculation of the claimants that the law will violate.”
Nineteen states have sued About the access from doge to federal payment systems.
