Luke Shaw ‘absolutely devastated’ as Ruben Amorim suffers further blow

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has suffered another minor injury setback and the left-back has taken to social media to vent his frustration over his latest issue.

The 29-year-old is known as an injury-prone player, but 2024 has been disastrous for the Englishman. Shaw lost 58 games for club and country since February, which has left many fans disappointed.

The defender recently returned from knee and calf problems that have plagued his 2024/25 campaign so far, with the full-back making three appearances from the bench against Ipswich Town, Bodø/Glimt and Everton since returning to fitness status – replacing the Red Devils ‘future’ last time out.

His availability didn’t last long, however, as Shaw now has another minor injury after the weekend, which will keep the Man United star out for weeks, reports say. MEN.

This is a devastating blow for the defender as he would have hoped to return to Ruben Amorim’s starting XI soon, and it’s hard not to feel sorry for the England international as The Portuguese coach will likely consider the full-back’s future in 2025.

Shaw took to social media to express his frustration at his latest injury problem and it’s clear how much of a blow this has been for the Man United player.

Luke Shaw ‘absolutely devastated’ with latest injury

Following news of his latest injury, Shaw took to social media to share his feelings with Man United fans.

“Hey guys, it really pains me to write this as I really thought I was over my recent struggles and on a positive path forward, but unfortunately I’ve had a bit of a setback,” said the left-back. Manchester Evening News.

“I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs, but this was definitely my toughest time. I am absolutely devastated and it is extremely hard to come to terms with reality right now.

“I understand there will be people disappointed, angry, disappointed and I understand all of that. No one feels it more than me right now.

“But what I can promise is that I will do my best to come back better soon to help this club achieve its ambitions this season. Thank you all for the support. It really doesn’t go unnoticed and I really appreciate it.”
