Aston Villa in Tottenham Match Preview
Tottenham will want to avoid collapsing two cups within four days as they face Aston Villa in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Spurs made 1-0 over Liverpool from the first leg of the Carabao Cup semifinals, but crushed 4-0 to Anfield on Thursday and seeing another opportunity for a trophy to pass them to Villa Park would put pressure on the ange postecoglou even more.
Postecoglou said after Thursday’s defeat: “I get the pile right now. It’s really easy for people to stick their boots and question the players – but I don’t question.
“We were disappointed last night it didn’t go as we wanted and we hadn’t executed on the levels – but that doesn’t set this team of players in my eyes.
“We’re an easy sign right now. Obviously, making a semifinal is an absolute disaster because we didn’t play well. I guess I didn’t do semifinals would put us in a better position.
“I have a great deal of faith in these players, what they go through and how they deal with that.”

Villa v Spurs forecast
The Spurs have won nine of their last 10 trips to the villa, but this is unlikely to count for many when Postcoglou men are low with confidence and numbers.
The villa is not exactly in the top form, but it is undefeated in 11 straight home games in all races. The extra rest should see the villa get the win, which will leave the Europa League as Spurs’s last chance for a trophy.
