An El Salvador -Man Searched for sex crimes Involving a minor in his home country was held in Philadelphia by American immigration and customs enforcement.
Ice removed Francisco Javier Melendez Torres, who was searched for by the police in El Salvador for worsened rape of a small and sexual harassment, on January 31. He entered the United States illegally and had issued a definitive order of removal in December 2024.
“The removal of Francisco Javier Melendez Torres, a dangerous criminal alien wanted for heavy rape of a minor in El Salvador, emphasizes the dangers that individuals such as he form for our communities,” said Brian McShane, Ice enforcement and removal activities Acting Filadelphia Field Office Director.
McShane said that ICE is “dedicated to ensure that dangerous individuals such as Melendez Torres do not find a safe haven” in the US of American citizens threaten.

Melendez Torres was first arrested by American border patrol On February 5, 1986, near Rio Grande, Texas. According to Ice Philadelphia, he was served with an order to show the cause and notification of hearing and to accuse non -abstainability. He was released the same day on an order of recognition.
He was voluntarily given departure on November 17, 1986 by an immigration court in Harlingen, Texas, and had to return to El Salvador by December 29, 1986.
He was deported as soon as he had not left on that date.

At one point, Melendez Torres returned to the US and was convicted of driving while on 12 September 1994 in Hempstead, New York was disabled. The court sentenced him to five days in prison.
He left the US again on an unknown date and returned without an inspection or conditional release by an immigration officer.
He was again convicted in Hempstead, New York, again disorderly behavior On April 30, 2014, and was sentenced to time.
Ice arrested him in Levittown, New York, on October 25, 2024, during “a targeted enforcement action” and served him with a notification to appear, whereby inevitability was charged.

He stayed in the US until Ice Philadelphia picked him up on January 31.
